yankee306: If we're going to have an actors section, I suggest it be kept relatively separate so that the core of the wiki is for writers and it stays relatively lean.

Anna: yeah, if we decided to do that it would probably be self-contained and not really link to this stuff. I don't think anyone has the mental energy to start it right now anyway. well I don't, anyway.

Canon vs. fan-on

yankee306: I was wondering whether we should somewhere put in things that seem to have become articles of faith in a lot of stories but aren't supported by the show. The big one I've noticed is that Marshall and Mary always know when the other is calling. There are actually scenes of them checking their caller ID before picking up and of their answering and clearly not knowing who's calling until the other person speaks. So do we put that in somewhere? Just add a bullet to the Mary & Marshall characters pages?

Anna: hmm, that's an idea to think about. things that are not proven or even disproved in canon but commonly accepted in fanon. some people might find that useful as "things to avoid" or at least to know are not canon when using them, I suppose.
